The 3 C's of Credibility

On this page we will look at an approach for studying humans, a paradigm for the systematic examination of human interaction.

We are deliberatly taking a view of human existance that is multidimensional, that includes the various orbs of existence and experience. Rather that viewing life unidimensionally, from one perspective only -- and at the exclusion of others -- we seek to examine communicative phenomenon in a way that includes each of these perspecitves:

Cognition: what and how we think. Mind

Volition: what and how we decide. Will

Emotion: what and how we feel. Heart

Body: what we do and how we do it. Body

Principles:
+  These dimensions overlap and impact one another. For example, we cannot support the claim that our thoughts are separated from our feelings.
+  We derive morality from this make-up, since we hold people responsible for their decisions and choices.
+  In normal cases, we see cognition and volition as the controlling dimension of our lives. That is, we hold people accountable for what they do in response to their emotions and their bodies. Ultimately, volition is the accountable instrument, since we make decisions about the use of our minds, emotions and bodies.
